THE ORIGINAL CASTLE
Rebelling
many times against the dominion of Rocca Contrada, it was sacked by Braccio da
Montone in the XVC. It has kept its characteristic medieval structure of
surrounding walls and fortified entrances.
"La Madonna del Rosario", one of Ramazzani's best works, is preserved in the
church of S. Agata. Outside the walls are the churches of S. Anna, containing
XVc frescos, and S. Maria della Piana (Xlllc).
